Hi There,

is it possible for Microchip to make available the detailed BOMs for various boards
being used for initial prototyping, like other contestants I'll start putting some
hardware together using the materials provided/purchased from Microchip/DK.

I'm particularly interested in:

- PIC32 Starter Kit Board
- PIC32 I/O expansion board (well not much to list there)
- Graphics PICtail+ Board
- Ethernet PICtail+ Board

I believe that having this information will facilitate putting together the BOM for
each project derived from the original BOMs.

Some of these do have detailed BOMs and soforth. When I ordered the energy meter IC evaluation kit (MCP3905), the kit came with a CD full of detailed schematics and part descriptions in PDF form.

I just posted a related message on a different thread. I agree with you that in some cases it could make sense
to list a complete board as a module, like the Graphics PICtail due the lack of an equivalent part from DK for the LCD.

Now if you will be using the PIC32 Starter Kit, my interpretation is that you have to include on the BOM the
basic components on the board that provide a particular function on your design, ie the PIC32, crystal, some caps,
etc, etc, not the connector or the pcb itself.

I did check the CDs and spent quite an amount of time on the MCHP site searching for the BOMs but they
are not on the CD or online.
