Yes congrats indeed, I have seen his project upclose and had a chance to see it for what it really is, and it is a great project indeed, it is much more than just a "Note taker" for the blinds, this project is more like a virtual "eye" for the blind with tactile feedback and more.... very cool!! I feel honored to be in the top 3 along side him, although I would have probably have chosen CarbCounter+ for the second prize since this product would help more people than a telephone bridge, in order to use it you have to have a cell phone, a landline and high speed internet connection..... how many people in poverty stricken countries have these??? compared to those who are diabetic ?? But I am sure the judges have their own reason, and have made a solid judgement choosing the winners. I for one am gratefull for their choice....

Congrats Nghia!! I hope you took the cash, so you can buy yourself a new laptop to replace the one you traded for the audio recordings... and hopefully use some of that money to further the development of your product...

Got released from the kids, I fell into sleep, and I slept and slept, but seemed never enough. When I waked up my wife made food ready. I felt great.

Back to work today, I saw a ton of emails congratulations, and some of them ask for a party. Hope I can make one soon.

Probably I will never forget this trip to ESC San Jose this time. It was overwhelmed. It was totally out of my expectation. I was sitting next to Brent (bmorse) in the first row in the auditorium, and Brent gave me the first handshake congratulations, but I still didn't believe it.

I'm very happy, and I believe many others are much happier then I am. I saw tears in my mom eyes. My daughter said she saw me on the stage and my pictures on the TV screen. When I was with the judges, many other were worried for me. They are here in the US, they are there in Vietnam, they are somewhere around the globe.

I would like to thank you all for everything.

It was great and pleasured to meet and talk to Brent, Mike, Levente, and Jingxi. We were not only talking about our projects, about technical, but also about families and our real lives. Everyone is very special to me. I'm very proud to be with them coming to the ESC. I want to send to them and their relatives and their supports the best wishes. Brent, next time bring your love one with you.

I would like to thank Stephanie Bible who took care us the contestants at ESC. Stephanie was supper friendly.

I would like to thank to the judges for their hard work and their understanding. Thank you for being with us, instructed and followed us for a whole year long. All of my supports and I are very honor being named in the announcement.

I greatly thank to Microchip, Digi-key, and TechInsight, and to all persons made this happen, made this event so precious.

About bmorse, yes, I have seen him upclose and have talked with him in hours. He is not a big guy as I thought and he is not too scary as his avatar. He indeed is a very nice guy. He works with all his heart and enthusiasm. I would give him my vote. For me, he deserves to be the number one.

I congrats to you too Brent!

At ESC, after a short discussion with my wife, we let Terry know we would take cash. We wanted to add it into a down payment for a home. But when we got back home, we decided to use that money for further development of the Notetaker. We planned to make some of beta version for users to test and hope to have product by the end of this year.

We may loan ourselves that money for the down payment, and will payback to the notetaker development when it's needed with interest. I'm fine now using my company laptop.

Yes! Congratualtions and more importantly, your notetaker for the blind concept is a great example of a truly beneficial application. Thank you for making it a reality!

jamodio you have done a spreadsheet with PIC32MX3XX family, you have done something related about PIC32MX4XX?

Many interesting projects were on this design challenge, a lot to learn from them.
